Astral Chandelier
I was brought in at the very beginning of this house build, when there was a bare concrete structure and an imagined staircase.
I had the architects drawing to work from and a passionate client. We knew we wanted an astronomical feel to piece, it had to be tactile, as in moving parts when going up or down the stairs, interactive and also work with the art work and other materials selected for this large hallway.
It also had to fill the full height of the space, to the asymmetric ceiling, link the 4 entrances into the hall way, fit within the stairwell, and allow reach to move the rings when using the stairs, a light mobile.

Working onsite and visit the space, asymmetrical ceiling and the chandelier to fit through the stairwell and span over the two floors.
