Glass Moss on Silver Birch - bespoke installation
Site specific installation of Glass Moss on silver birch.
This is a site specific piece, which I designed and made as an artist working with light.
Provenance is key to my work, these are locally sourced Silver birch seasoned for two years, scattered with illuminated glass moss. They hover eerily as if just floated in from the forests outside, their ghostly quality reminding us of our landscape drifting out to the sea, coastal erosion is a problem in the area.
Reed Wall light
Reed wall light - part of a number of pieces inspired by the landscape off Suffolk and commissioned by Snape Malting for their House and Gardens Shop, reed beds and marshlands, familiar to me and my childhood.
Reed Wall light - delicate - tender - airy - diaphanous - light - shadow
Light is one of the most important elements of our world, we bathe in it, it replenishes us.
Work to reveal qualities by interaction the luminance of light with sometimes the most humblest of materials.
