Native Norfolk Shells

Native Norfolk Shells

There is an element of my work where incorporating nature is the purest way.

The Horn family and the Glass Moss on Silver Birch and now native Norfolk Shells.

These precious pieces, each one unique. The Native Norfolk Shell reflects and protects the gentle light from the sold brass tea light.

These designs have developed with working with The Merchants Table. Susanna contacted me over a couple of years ago to design a wall light using the scallop shell, where the light could be reflected back. The shell has been used from Roman times through to the Georgian period, as a vessel for either holding light or help in reflecting. So it sat in my sketchbook, returning to the concept over the last few years to nurture and refine and pare back to pure simplicity in honour of the materials used and now they are ready.

Each one unique.

Exclusive to The Merchants Table and from me.
