Each petal is hand curved and then cut and shaped, sanded back for feathered edges, from wood.

Here there are 6 petals, each individually curved and carved, then sanded back.

2 petals per brass ring.

Outside stained black for a matt charred wood and inside a warm mahogany wax, polished to a slight sheen .

The warmth of the inner polished wood, adds to the warm glow from the light.

Light leaks through the overlapping petals.

A very organic and calm light.
