SCALLOP SHELL TEA LIGHT SCONCE

£200.00

A polished & patinated brass and scallop shell wall sconce by lighting designer Charlotte Packe.

Charlotte Packe is a lighting designer and artist, born in Suffolk and studied at Goldsmiths College. She has been working with lighting since 1990, creating lighting installations and designing bespoke luminaires for private and corporate clients as well as manufacturing small batch runs for selective retail outlets.

The shell sconce is a conceptual collaboration between Charlotte Packe and Susanna Cook, of The Merchant’s Table, with fond memories for hours spent in candlelit Blacks in Soho. Charlotte evolved the concept with her own distinctive style to design a contemporary take on the classic wall scallop sconce.

The mirrored brass backplate reflects the candlelight to emit a warming luminance, whilst the slightly translucent British Scallop shell protects the flame and gently diffuses the light to create a wonderful glow. The patinated, near-black brass backplate gives a moody candlelight and warming luminance.
